I've worn Elvex HB-5000 SuperSonic hearing protector ear muffs ( http://www.elvex.com/HB-5000.htm ) while playing ABT events. They have no electronics and do an excellent job of quieting the room for the wearer. After I won a match last year against Michael Edge, he questioned the legality of their use. It's a legitimate question, and the answer should also be added to the Simborg/Horton/Bower rules.

I didn't wear the ear muffs in Charlotte. Reflecting on my performance in Charlotte, I should have worn a bag over my head.
