Art Grater: Isn't there an analogy here with one of your students wearing earbuds and/or texting during class?

Yeah, probably. I asked students not to text in class, and then didn't fight the fight. If they want to text in class, I'm not stopping them. I'm not a traffic cop handing out chicken sh** tickets. And to those opposed to people wearing headphones, maybe you ought to think about if that fight is really worth fighting.
