A reasonable framework? No?

Bottom line…. Drops have to be accounted for. The system must assume, until a "dropper" is determined to be a true "dropper" that it was not a drop.
In Bob's example adjust the dropper up and the drop-ee down. Or decide to only adjust the dropper down (if below 50%), or only the drop-ee up (if a favorite), or any thing you want to do.
Or… is it better to have people dropping and never having matches resolved?
This certainly addresses the most common drop situation where you're 90% to win a match and the bastard drops you. Right?
We're not looking for a perfect solution. Can someone game this method of addressing the drops? Sure.
But it probably fixes 95% of the issue. And certainly addresses the worst situations in a way beneficial to the system and the person dropped.
Isn't this a reasonable framework?
Or am I WAY off base?
