So you're not voting on ability or results here, you're voting on perceived reputation? Each to their own. How do I get your vote? I havent met you (yet), does that mean that you wont vote for me? You dont know how great I am (yet). I do all those things with a family too. Thats an example.

I dont disagree that Bob is a great player, and currently a giant too. He may deserve to be higher ranked than he is, or lower ranked. Bob's also a real nice guy, and reasonably tall. However, his niceness and height are not what I will use to decide where he goes on my ballot.
