A final word for Leo so as to not leave the matter "up in the air"

The easiest example would be too assume that you are in the box, that it has been announced that the next game is the last, and that your positive expectation in the box is say +0.06 and in the team is +0.02.
You can then figure out that your take-point on a single (the other cubes have been settled) initial cube has been lowered from 25% to 24.7525% (by just working out risk and gain from taking vs dropping and assuming that you'll lose the box if you drop).
So a symmetrical endgame position in which both players have two checkers remaining on the 3 point transforms from a whopping drop to a whopping take "for the box".
Of course the trick in all this is correctly estimating the +0.06 and +0.02 in the example.
