Well, this rollout does show that 15/12 13/9 does lose fewer gammons at this score. That means that 15/12 13/9 will lose fewer gammons if your subsequent play is also skewed to cut down on gammons. However, doing so will cost you a lot of games. Instead of 5% fewer games you'll win 10% fewer games, assuming your opponent plays perfectly (in particular, going for the gammon aggressively). So it's still conceivable that gammophobic play could be best against a particular opponent, if you're a sufficiently big favorite at DMP and if your opponent will blunder away enough equity in the current game. But while conceivable, it doesn't look likely.
