Thanks, Tom, for laying out the steps so clearly. With the exception of step 5, my Nactation key follows your guidelines in toto. Both GnuBg and XG display "to" points in descending order, and I have taken my cue from them. Playing two checkers down from the midpoint with opening 43, for instance, is notated as 13/10 13/9.

Depending on context, I sometimes put a comma between moves. In a table, such as my Nactation key, I prefer adding commas. Opening 43 becomes 13/10, 13/9. Amid prose descriptions, such as the preceding paragraph, I like to omit them.
