The thing is, these types of slip-ups are commonplace, whether there are 2 seconds of reserve time, or 22 minutes of reserve time on the clock.

Similar to the almost non-existent traveling calls and palming calls in NBA and NCAA basketball, these sorts of violations seem to be tolerated by the majority of players.

I have never received a complaint in nearly 14 years of directing local tournaments or in 3 ABT tournaments about using the types of impropriety Bob writes about.

Bob is in that small percentage of players who always plays properly. I consider that a good thing. (That he follows the rules, not that the percentage is small).
