Assuming we're talking about Ben Elliott, I'm not sure why we don't use names when we're practically naming the player anyway, cashing in the intermediate in a field of 26 is not particularly impressive. I was looking at these results today during a lesson and if you have a field of 26 and list 6 players in the results that's a lot in my opinion. Doesn't take much of a run to make the money somewhere.

That is a general note, not in defending whether or not Ben should or shouldn't be moved up. I don't know his game so I have no real opinion. I also don't know the nature of his results. Results alone to me hardly matter up to a point. He could easily be a true intermediate player and still cash a lot. He could also be an Open level player playing in the intermediate and cash a lot. Hell, one could be an Open player in the intermediate and rarely cash! Thus is the nature of the game. So far this year in the Open division over the span of 5 tournaments I haven't done shit in the main event. I mean jack shit.

NY I went 0-4 in the main event.
TX I went 2-3 in the main/conso then really tore up the LC before losing in the money round.
OH I went 0-2 in the main/conso then 1-1 in the LC.
LV I went 2-2 in the main/conso then 1-1 in the LC.
GA I went down in flames. The match results aren't updated on the USBGF web site so I don't want to quote how I did but I got to leave the tournament a day early and I don't think I won any matches in the main/conso again.

Overall in the rounds that matter I am 4-10, actually much worse when you add in Atlanta. Win percentage likely around 25%. When do I get to drop down to Intermediate based on results?
