I should add that the USBGF did additional due diligence on this. P40 is made at the Ibis Tek facilities of Tom's company. Having been forced to divest from his company Ibis Tek, P40 is not owned by Tom Buckner. However, he remains inseparable from P40; he is and has always been P40, and the legal owner of P40 said that they have absolutely no intention to distance themselves from Buckner in order to retain a relationship with USBGF.

Personally, I am deeply saddened by this. Tom obviously loved the game of backgammon deeply, made great contributions and he was not doing any of his work in developing P40 for the money. It is a damn shame. But the man stole millions from the US taxpayers and is going to jail for his crimes. Nobody screwed Tom Buckner but Tom Buckner. How can the USBGF possibly retain a relationship? Loyalty to a felon and a fraud who stole from us all? Are you kidding me? Look the other way because he was a big donor? That's the suggestion? Integrity must come first.
