Often, when the dice are settled after a flip, player still holds the tube in his hand. This is not OK with me.

You and I agree on this (that it happens and that it is improper). But, IMO, this has a parallel when (only) a dicecup is used. When handled properly (three shakes parallel to the cup's axis with a toss where the dice are released well above the surface, and not weakly), there is no problem (IMO) with using a dicecup. But when people (and unfortunately there are more than just a rare few) fail to shake properly and/or fail to toss the dice properly, some of us also have a problem with such an opponent.

Bottom line is that proper usage of equipment is just as important as the equipment itself. If a person shows an unwillingness to properly use a device (dicetube or dicecup) then director needs to step in and adjudicate.
