One of the primary advantages of playing 11N is that it blocks an immediate 64, 65 and 66 from moving off the ace point. After 54S-11, 65 and 66 dance after either 11E or 11N. There is no immediate blocking value to having the bar on this roll. 11E is correct. For further illustration of this point, contrast 62R-11 and 64R-11. 62R-11N doesn't effectively block 64,65 and 66 since there are reasonable alternatives. 11E is correct because this blocking value is reduced. However, after 64R-11N, a second 64R is blocked preventing the making of the 14 point. 11N is correct. There are secondary considerations of course. The immediate blocking value makes the biggest difference.
