and what about "legal rolls"? MISSING from the rules completely!

Let's say you were playing in a tournament that allowed non-legal moves. And you are playing with a clock.

Isn't a roll valid only after your opponent has hit the clock signifying that it is now your turn?

So even in this situation, if a player continues to roll without hitting the clock, every roll after the first roll should not count.

So the question is, does the other player have the right to allow his opponent to roll illegally? Or is he supposed to stop him? This is not about the use of time...let's suppose there is lots of time on the clock. The roll is not supposed to happen without your opponent ending his turn, even if he is on the bar.

I don't believe the rules address this properly, and anytime you have something that is not addressed, you have disagreements when it comes up. You have disagreements between the players and even between tournament directors when they make ruling.

For those who argue that we can't cover everything, so why try? I say we must try, as the more we cover the fewer problems we have.
