Phil, fully agree with your first point.

I recently bought XG and from my observations, it makes less often "strange" moves in positions where it does not/hardly matter than GNU, as well as a different type of strange moves.

To me, this whole thing is a bit of nonsense, and I also fully understand why Xavier stays out of this discussion.
