Michael Petch is entitled to his opinion, of course. Here's mine: Yes, Phil Simborg teaches backgammon for a fee, and he sells baffle boxes, etc. But, based on what I see as a casual observer, he also liberally gives his time as an unpaid volunteer to promote the game. I appreciate what he does for backgammon, and I think it's unfair characterize his involvement in the game as strictly profit motivated.
