Adding Backgammon to Proposed Legisation for Online Poker.

There is a draft of proposed federal legislation in the senate, for legalizing online poker. The way it is written it would not apply to backgammon. There are a range of issues with the legislation that have been addressed in a letter from the Poker Alliance to the two senators sponsoring the legislation. These also would apply to backgammon. The views of the Poker Alliance on these issues, in many instances, mirror positions favorable to ourselves.

We plan to write a letter to Senator's Reid and Kyl, the sponsors, asking the backgammon be included in the legislation. We need to make this letter as persuasive as we can. I am reaching out to you to provide any material that you might deem appropriate to include in this letter or an appendix to the letter.

Our plans are to get the letter off early next week so please input your suggestions here as soon as possible. We will view all posts but please understand our goal at the moment is not to have a discussion but just to quickly gather material for this letter. We will issue a copy of the letter we write here, and if we use anyone's material,that we already dont have oursleves, we will acknowledge the contributors.

Developments will be posted on our website.
