It could have been worse...
I was playing online for low stakes around last December. Maximum amount of money someone could lose on the table was 4 times the value of the cube. Opp was holding a 2 cube and it was almost sure he would get gammoned. It was the beginning of his turn, when he proposes to resign twice in a row. I press the reject button twice and write at the dialog box something like ?? Immediately he doubles me and had I pressed the reject button again quickly, I would have conceded the game and lost 2 points. The dialog boxes for doubling and for resigning were looking the same at that server and the accept and reject button were at the same position. Only the text inside the boxes was different. I understood that he/she was trying to trick me and actually found it funny and wrote something like lol to the dialog box. Probably I did not care as stakes were low and I avoided the silly mistake anyways.
Then again sometimes XG mobile is sure to lose a game or gammon and because it will lose the match after losing the game/gammon anyways it doubles me as it thinks the position is an optional double/redouble. And certainly XG mobile does not lose any equity by doubling me, but if I make a mistake that moment and I press the reject button and concede the game I will be really very pissed. I wonder how unethical XG mobile is for this kind of doubles.
