Nice of you to put in a degree symbol for me and my fellow residents in the U.S.A. Although S.I. has not used one with Celsius measuments for a long time ("C" alone is fine), many of my American friends would never have recognized 6 C as a temperature reading without it!

Of course, the metric system has some glaring deficiencies of its own. The worst is that is it measures time in base 60, base 24 and base 12. Shades of Babylon!

Too bad S.I. did not change our clocks to 10 hours per day or some other base 10 equivalent. Days and millidays might have been just fine.
