Well, for once, what is 0 degrees Fahrenheit? Zero is usually supposed to mean a certain transitional milestone between negative and positive values that anybody can relate to.

Celsius is as simple and as logical as it gets -- 0 degrees is the freezing point and 100 degrees is the boiling point of water (to be more precise in "normal" conditions as they change with pressure and altitude, if I'm not mistaken). That's it. That's how it's defined.

Is there any logic behind Fahrenheit scale? I would not mind if somebody taught me that. Perhaps then those Fahrenheit numbers would start to make any sense to me.
