Clearing the error is still not enough. Say that a position is a technical ND but becomes a double if opponent will drop 30% of the time.
Say that you're 50% sure that your opponent will drop and this makes you decide to double. The times you were right you don't get any error, but the other times you will. In effect this will harm your error rate even if you were correct about your 50% assumption.

I think a much better solution would be to use 2 error rates: Your own, and the average error rate of your opponents.
