Playing to wrong match length

"b) Say the match isn't over yet and the players are playing to a "long" score (more than the correct match length). One player has already reached the correct (posted) match length"

And in that case do you need to possibly see if there was a double in the Crawford game (which the players did not of course realize) and void the extra points won there?
