You are right. The tax code should say: everyone please pay a fair amount to the U.S. government.

And if everyone agreed on what was fair and did it, we would have no problems.

Our tax codes are very poorly written and confusing. I am not recommend that we have rules that are very poorly written and confusing. I am recommending just the opposite.
