In Response To: Director's action? (Tom Keith)
Maybe the spectator was wrong. Maybe the players were wrong. How it can hurt to verify?
Seems to me that if you do not want TD to act when an irregularity in a score is reported to him by a spectator, then you should rewrite your rules to direct spectators not to report irregularities in the score to the TD. For the default TD action to be "nothing" seems particularly strange when, as with the Simborg/Bower/Horton revision, the rules have specifically directed spectators to immediately report irregularities in the score to the TD. Why, if he's to do nothing about it?
