Sure, TD might want to cruise by and get a better feel for the situation. He could ask the players if they updated their score correctly, but I don't see a need in this case. Maybe the players won't remember what happened and the fact that TD's asking will make them feel they did something wrong.
Part of TD's job is to filter out things that don't require his attention. That's why kibitzers report to the TD and not to the players.
Reasons to investigate further: (1) If the players were playing to the wrong match length. (2) If TD thought there was cheating going on.
