I could see this as a good front end for a database of positions that one could maintain themselves - similar to flash cards. Neither XG or GNUBG at this time have a good UI that lends itself towards this kind of learning. I could see a use for a site that allows the community to add positions to their own flash cards and/or share them with others. I'm just tossing ideas out there.

I see potential in the idea presented. However, today it doesn't seem all that useful in its current form IMHO.
