Backgammon Dice are NEVER precision dice. WRONG!!

Its obvious your Techno-centric team are either ignorant of, or don’t understand, modern (let alone state-of-the-art) manufacturing processes, in particular laser milling.
“Precision” dice, whether razor-edged “casino” or a ball-edge “gamers” dice are made from cellulose acetate blocks, cut true to a tolerance of 2.5 microns (which is 2% better than .0001 of an inch). The “painted” pips (security spots, numbers, letters, logos, etc…) are laser etched wells/holes back-filled with coloured epoxy resin the same density as the acetate.
They are polished (ensuring no indentations), designs are hot-stamped using micro-foil (not engraved!) and then are measured to a maximum “face weight” variance of less than 100 milligrams (35/10,000ths of an ounce) between the faces. It is only then that “gamers” dice have their corners/edges “laser milled” off at a max cut tolerance/variance of 2.0 micron.
In other words, real, modern, precision ‘gamers” dice are equal or MORE precise than your, or so beloved, razor-edge casino dice. So I can only say you and your P-40 team are using/testing non-precision ball-faced gamers dice (to prove a fallible randomness techno-hypothesis) or cheaping out and buying from the wrong companies!
