Yes, Jakob, I am looking for something else

Yes, Jakob. While I have great respect and affection for you and the work you have done, and while I think you have done amazing things with your electronic board, I am looking for much more, and so is the rest of the backgammon world.
I will not discuss the specific deficiencies with your board (that you and I already discussed in Monte Carlo), but even if your board were perfect and there were no bugs and it did everything perfectly, wouldn't it be nice to:
a) be able to play on any board, not just yours?
b) have a program, including all equipment, that sells for well under $1000?
c) Have a clock and possibly electronic dice incorporated into the program?
d) Have a program that did not require having a computer attached to it, so that you can simply plug in a flash drive to your computer later?
e) have a program that alerts the players if there has been an illegal move?
f) have a product where the hardware parts are relatively inexpensive to replace if anything breaks...we will have a small camera, a stand, a clock, and software...simple and inexpensive parts that will be warranteed and guaranteed?
Our program provides all of the above.
By the way, you keep arguing for your BEZMA board. If it worked well I would already own one, and so would hundreds of others. How many have you sold?
Jakob, we started out trying to make an improved version of your board, and for all of the above reasons and the much greater cost of incorporating the transcription into a board, we switched to the optical reader approach. Soon you and the world will see that it works well and will take this game to a new level.
