Should Major Tournament Events be Allowed to be 'Resolved' by Agreement Rather than by Play?

I would suggest that any matches not played which have ABT consequences be settled by awarding both players the ABT points which they would have gotten had they lost the match. To receive the ABT points for winning a match, the matches should be played in full as scheduled at the tournament. If points are denied when the match isn't played, then settlements would be no better and no worse than settlements of any other event such as Jackpots. Players who don't care about ABT points could make their own decisions without corrupting the integrity of the ABT.
