The more I think about it, I have played many matches against Gary and never received a match file. Other people made an issue of this, so I decided to decline to have him record matches anymore. He has been recording every match for about 5 years now I think.

It should be noted that there wasn't any particular animosity after Gary put his stuff up, he merely asked me if I was going to Monte Carlo this year. Then, he beat me 15-2 in four games. I guess he got his revenge?

I can see where it would be a pain to enter every match that one has recorded, especially if you record them ALL. However if someone declines then they are reducing your workload, and the recorder should not be offended.

Meanwhile the player who does not receive a match file has a right to be offended, I think. Fellow Giants will understand when I say that we get asked to be recorded and streamed more often. By and large, we try to accommodate people but there are exceptions to every rule. Mine are pretty simple:

If I am not 100% sure that you will transcribe and send me a copy, then you may not record. Sorry.
