Until XG passes the Turing test (makes plays that are virtually indistinguishable from a human {albeit an awesome backgammon player human}) I don't know that this is valid. Setting XG to a lower level causes it to make still "non-human" mistakes. You boys know far more about this than I so perhaps I'm inflating my value to say just my two cents.
