I believe a top human player who knows how to take advantage of his opponents, such as Ray, would do better than X G when playing worse opponents. In the later rounds, when you're likely to come up against Giants, I'll take XG every time.

If I had the bed on one from the beginning of the tournament, I would take XG over a human. Keep in mind:

eXtremeGammon doesn't gs hungry, tied or distracted. It doesn't throw cups or chairs. It can't be bluffed or fooled by opponents body language or unscrupulous comments. It isn't overly optimistic or pessimistic about the dice. It keeps score perfectly. It never fails to see the hit. It's not greedy. And it doesn't hedge.
