There's nothing to stop you from creating a Simborg Under 4 PR club according to your rules, is there?

Let's assume that you did so. Then I'd argue that membership in Mochy's club would not be equivalent to membership in Simborg's club. They would be testing different skills. Getting under 4 PR against live human opponents in a tournament is different from getting under 4 PR against XG. I assume you agree that there is a difference?

If there is a difference, then I don't think that you can claim that Simborg's rules are better than Mochy's rules. When you say, "I don't think this is the best way to do it," you're implicitly suggesting that there is a single "it" that both Simborg and Mochy are trying to achieve, and that Simborg does it better. But the truth is that neither is better; they're just different.

So really, all that's left of your argument is that Mochy's club interferes with tournament play. Attempting to join Mochy's club is entirely voluntary, so the interference can only be with the opponents of Mochy's-club-wannabes, with Calcutta participants. and with the spectators. It doesn't seem to me that the opponents have anything to complain about. According to your theory, the opponents' winning chances are now higher, so they should be happy about that. As for the Calcutta, I can see an argument that players should disclose that they are trying for Mochy's club, but assuming they do so, I don't see a problem. And finally as for the spectators, I'd expect that the glamor of Mochy's club would on balance increase their enjoyment. Some spectators might grumble, but you can't please everyone.

As a final comment, I'm wondering if the difference between playing for PR and playing to win is being exaggerated here. Perhaps those who have joined Mochy's club can comment (MCG, Dmitriy, etc.)? Over the course of your ten Mochy-club matches, how many decisions did you make differently?
