Seth,

You're joking, right? I know you must be.

Not to take anything away from you but at best you're a weak open-level player.

During the days when we kept stats I'd drink 4, 5, 6 drinks and play. Rich got his buzz on, too. You drank, what? Water? Soda?

I gave hints to my opponents. Helped them with their play, as did Rich. I know that we were both concerned with attracting and retaining members rather than just beating people.

The only competition Rich and I took seriously was the "ladder". I'm pretty sure Rich and I sat, alternating, #1 and #2 for the entire time it existed.

You are a strong local player. We had a new member join who likes to play low-stakes $ games. I told him that you were the strongest of the players that would play for those stakes. I think I might have said that you and Mel were the strongest players beside Rich and me.

Oh, Seth, the joy you bring me...
