"A 288 Elo rating difference in an 11 point match corresponds to 75% probability of winning. 288 Elo difference is equivalent to about 8.5 difference.
Looking at the crudely, if the match was only influenced by luck and relative skill had no influence the probability would be 50%. Moreover, if t, the match was wholly influenced by skill, and luck had no influence the probability would be 100%. Consequently, a match win probability of 75% broadly represents a situation where luck and skill are equally influential. In practice, the best players in the world very rarely, if ever, have long term winrates greater than 70%"
In Italy we have a site, http://www.bgrating.net that contains a lot (1000 matches for a very active player)of statistics (clubs and CNB) and also someoone created an excel file with data from all but only our main tournaments, around 50. The percentage of the winning players is 60-65% in both cases. So the Elo difference between a top player and an average can be, row estimation around 150 in one case and 100 in the second. These numbers look to me similar to yours.
