The difference in strengh is the point, in chess and bg we have Elo to measure it. In chess a big points difference it means probability close to 0 to win, in bg we know is not. Maybe should be improved the formula in the Elo rating for bg.

In any discipline (except go for what I know) when the strength is close the luck plays a big role. In tennis there is a ranking but it happens many times the player less rated is favourite by the bookmakers. I am sure if a bookmaker made the Giants list that one would be the closest. If someone wants to know who are the strongest in the field and his ranking, just go to the Nordic Open.
