A final question. Regardless of what you think the rule and the enforcement should be for all of the above, don't you believe that, one way or another, the rules should be clear on each of these points? Is there any logical reason (except for the libertarian freedom of choice argument) that everyone should know what the rules are they and their opponents are supposed to follow?

Why have we lived with debate and ambiguity not only about what the rules should be, but also what the rule is?

Isn't it time to change that? Finally? Somehow?

(Again, Art, please don't answer...I know you think we should leave it up to the players to decide what rules they will play by, but if we do it your way, we will have to go down this entire list every time, and a lot of other rules too, and decide what rules we like. That just can't happen.)
