My naive opinion is that when someone buys you in a calcutta or shares part of your action, they are buying the whole shebang. That includes your judgments and errors, as well as the ethical decisions you choose to make. Your “investors” are buying the outcome only, and leave all decisions how to get there solely to you.

Why don’t all the arguments in favor of anything more apply to college and pro sports teams?

Consider football. Should a team be expected just to win the game, or do they have a further obligation to cover the point spread? I mean, think of all the money lost every week when teams kneel down inside the 10 yard line just so they can kill the clock and win the game. They should try to score, d*mn it!
