Here's a dilemma if playing legal moves

Let's say you are playing Neil in the finals of the biggest tournament of the year, and I bought you in the Calcutta. I'm watching the match and saw you make the 64 play, clearing intending to hit, but not picking up the checker. A hit would win the match, but a miss would be a certain loss. Neil puts the checker on the bar for you, but you refuse, saying you screwed up and don't deserve his kindness.
As your Calcutta owner, should I insist you pay me the amount of equity I lost?
