Thanks for your feedback Chuck.. I'm open to ideas.

Exactly how long would you suggest? I was thinking of letting it run for 3 months and perhaps then run another version this time next year with any lessons learned from the process.

Also, rather than my initial thought of showing interim results before poll end (just 'cos people want to know how it's going i guess), maybe it is best to keep the results secret until the end of the poll (as knowledge of the current standings might influence people who are yet to vote). Anybody with industry experience want to comment on best practice?

N.B. I am also in discussions with some other sites about displaying a link / article for the poll on their respective domains - this may take another 2 -3 weeks to go live. So the end of the poll should be extended from this point.

BTW, no bias is intended on my part - just generally interested in getting a count on exactly how many people think what exactly.
