Seeding byes...

Did David mean that the seeded players would not get a bye? Surely he meant that it could be arranged that they had the same chance of getting one? If they drew the extra round and got through, they would then take up their seeded place in the draw.

I was under the impression that us donkeys loved to have the chance to knock a strong player out. If we get knocked out by a fellow donk we never get that chance. Further, seeding would give those of us, somewhat below the general seeding threshold, the incentive to improve our game so that we do tend to get seeded in the future.

Perhaps, though, I'm overestimating the mettle of the average player.
