Early vs late round byes

In Response To: Early vs late round byes (Matt Cohn-Geier)

The problem is people pressuring me to hedge when I don't want to hedge. I just say no of course. But, it can be unpleasant. The pressure is far worse with a late round bye than it is in other circumstances. I remember being in the final three once when I thought the guy was never going to let it go so we could proceed. "What part of no don't you understand?" It isn't worth it. I will avoid it if I can.
