In Response To: Score cards (Jason Lee)

I agree that if we could somehow wave a magic wand and make it so that everyone was using away scoring the world would be a better place. If that were to happen, we'd all be looking back wondering why it was ever any other way.

The problem is getting there from here. All tournament backgammon around the world should really keep score the same way. Organizing that transition would not be easy. I've heard, for example, that there are still one or two countries that haven't switched to metric yet. ;-)
