The person who wrote in this thread wanting to use away scoring had, as his stated purpose, writing away scoring to aid him in his conversion to calculating match equity. He stated that writing it that way would aid him.

Perhaps it is so second nature to you that it doesn't qualify.

However the rules are written for all, not just for you.

There should be a standard method for score keeping on a score card. That method, until the rules are changed, must be standard scoring.

Away scoring on a scoresheet would currently qualify as an aid to some and therefore may not be utilized during a match.

One tournament director following this thread already recognized this when the thread author noted his rationale for using away scoring on the score sheet.
