I have no idea where I should reply to address things any more this thread is so out of control. I never suggested a rule change to away scoring. I think it should be allowed but certainly not the norm.

This: "Don't fix what isn't broken." I find in general to be a poor argument.

MCG: I would hazard to guess that people who keep score using away scoring are more likely to make mistakes in keeping the score.

If away scoring is allowed in addition to regular scoring I would hazard a guess that those that did use away scoring would make less scoring errors than your regular scoring player because the player using away scoring is likely to be a stronger/more aware player to begin with.
