Yes, the average American reads at an eight grade level. The folks on this board probably average 11th or 12th. Abrogate is an "SAT" word and therefore should be a word grasped easily enough, even by you.

Nactation doesn't increase knowledge. It doesn't allow information to be manipulated that couldn't be done so anyway.

It allows for some additional brevity at the expense of the frustration and irritation of many and perhaps some small amount of knowledge being made less accessible to many. It benefits a few at the expense of many. It makes for an exclusive clubby group. It's elitist. It's not necessary.
