Fixing the 80 player bracket (long)

Not quite right.
If there are 5 players in a single elimination then the two non-bye players get 1/(2N) = 1/10 of the prize pool.
But there are two complications here. The first is that the loser of the antibye game gets equity but from a different prize pool.
Here's how I think of it: There are effectively 20 shares of equity that will be distributed among the final five players -- the 16 shares of prize money that go to the four semifinalists, 2 extra shares (1/10 of 20) to the winner of the nonbye players, and the equivalent of 2 shares of equity that goes to the loser of the nonbye players as a semifinalist in the Consolation bracket.
Another is that if the bracket is not a full 80 then a player getting the antibye who had a bye in the first round should not get compensation.
It is probably better to treat compensation for first round non-byes separately. It keeps the calculations simpler and assures that all nonbye players are compensated appropriately (if you even want to go that route).
