Ah, but Bill, the reason you run the event is to draw the best players, and to have a marquee event that people want to see, and that the best want to participate in.

So, increasing the field increases both of those aspects, making it slightly more accessible is key to this.

For the same reason that Rory's tournament is popular, as is San Antonio - you both hold marquee events. Thats what draws the crowds.
