In MC you at least have the upside of having many rich persons who are willing to participate despite not having much chance of winning.

How is it an upside for a tournament calling itself "world championship"? Any rich donk can cough up the dough and get a shot to become a "world champion" by getting lucky in, what, 6-7 matches?
