Forcing players to pay $5 per tournament whether or not they care about master points is a bad precedent.

That five bucks will become six. Then $10. Then ??

Next, we'll see a five dollar fee for an international federation. Then two bucks for this and three bucks for that. And a new $50 fee to make tournaments affordable for those who can't pay the $50 fee.

If we want new people to come to tournaments to play BG and have fun, make it easier and cheaper, not harder and more expensive.
