EBT, I figure you mean EBGT? Because that is about a dozen European events that are brought together, and that is what Chiva is basically involved in (Thus my reason for mentioning him). If you mean EBGT, then I don't see where they claim to have some world title. They do have a finale every year. I'm actually glad Chiva is able to get all those independent federations together to actually put together such a series. When Chiva uses World (as in World Backammon Association), I have to admit he at least it seems to embody more than just Europe or the US.

I would probably draw more inspiration from Chiva.

The USBGF IMHO is not a model federation. They seem to be dysfunctional when you compare them to many of the well know European federations.

My point would be, I don't think using what the US has managed to do as a model of what a world organization would look like. I'm not saying what the US has done is all bad, but I don't believe they have it anywhere near right either.
